A three-year change in recorded offences describes that area, not a particular street or building. If you expect to cycle to work or study, inspect storage at both ends of the route; bicycle and moped theft are combined in this source. The figures do not establish who commits or experiences the recorded offences.
Coverage, years and rates
The comparison includes every Groningen wijk in Politie table 47018NED, using its 2025 boundaries. A wijk is a statistical district, not a separate entry for every smaller buurt or street. The source was updated on 15 April 2026. Counts include attempts and may be revised. The trend shows raw annual counts for 2023–2025, rather than rates calculated with a single year’s population.
Only the 2025 count is divided by the population at 1 January 2025 and multiplied by 1,000. This is Hey Haven’s calculation, using CBS / PDOK Wijk- en Buurtkaart 2025; wijk populations are randomly rounded to multiples of five. Counts remain visible when the rate is unavailable because population is missing or below 50; that population threshold is our display rule. Missing offence data is not zero.
